Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure a cohesive and thorough design process.
  • Develop design concepts, conduct studies, and establish design criteria.
  • Perform analytical and design calculations, document design procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive design documents, including schematics, specifications, and utility coordination.
  • Generate project deliverables such as plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain accurate project records for documentation of the design process.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Identify scope changes and communicate them to the Project Manager.
  • Oversee and coordinate the design efforts of assigned engineers.
  • Ensure all permit requirements are met.
  • Conduct field investigations and construction inspections as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Project Managers or Department Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • E.I.T. or P.E. licensure is preferred.
  • Experience with aviation-related projects is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in transportation and related areas.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D, Bentley ORD, and other engineering software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports, cost estimates, and perform scheduling and quantity take-offs.
