Job Title: Civil Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer II to join our team at KDM Engineering. As a Civil Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, modifying, and analyzing various civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as part of a project team to design, modify, and analyze civil engineering projects.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve civil engineering-related issues.
  • Lead the coordination of detailed design phases for civil engineering work.
  • Perform and/or oversee designs for underground and overhead electrical power installations.
  • Ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Interface with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications.
  • Research available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for project designs.
  • Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others, including calculations and drawing preparation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, PE preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of job-specific experience.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D.
  • Infrastructure design experience.
  • Stormwater management design/analysis.
Valued but Not Required Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of power distribution.
  • Construction experience.
  • Exposure to Exelon Asset Suite 8 (AS8).
  • Surveying experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
