Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to join our team at Diverzify. As an Installation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation process from start to finish, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect job sites prior to installation to ensure that all necessary preparations have been made.
  • Coordinate with customers, sales teams, managers, and installers to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise the installation process, ensuring that all work is done to the highest standards and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Inspect substrates for acceptability of flooring, including moisture testing and alkaline testing.
  • Determine the compatibility of old flooring with new flooring and identify any defects in the substrate of walls that may affect the quality of installation.
  • Check for proper climate control and lighting, as well as accessibility of the job site, elevator, parking, and loading dock.
  • Arrange storage areas for materials delivered to the job site and visit the site before and during installation to head off any potential problems.
  • Keep in touch with job contacts to address their concerns immediately and resolve any installation problems that may occur during the length of the job.
  • Advise on safety requirements on each job site and resolve any differences between installers and job contacts.
  • Inspect defective material on the job site, communicate job needs to Installation Managers, and teach installers on the job site.
  • Deliver material/sundries to the job site to expedite completion and pre-punch right after installation while installers are still on site.
  • Post-inspect jobs when required, inspect job deficiencies, and determine their legitimacy.
  • Ensure installers have proper up-to-date plans and ability to fix items on punch or install materials if needed to close a job.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • OSHA 10 Training Certification (minimum) OSHA 30 preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the products in the floor covering industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in mathematics, specifically fractions, measurements, and reading a ruler.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written reports and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to visually recognize conformance and nonconformance of flooring products.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to do daily reporting digitally, including moisture testing, pre-mob job reporting, and daily reporting of assigned projects to the Installation Manager.
