Job Summary:The Controls Wiring Installation Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical conduit, wire, and cable associated with energy management systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and mount electric/electronic control devices, panels, sensors, and components
- Coordinate with supervision to ensure accurate material and supply requirements
- Provide input and assist with the preparation of as-built drawings
- Assist with the evaluation and feedback of helpers/apprentices
- Install communication links and address VAV boxes
- Follow verbal and written instructions, read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
- Select proper wire and conduit sizes for equipment installation
- Must have experience in wiring all types of HVAC equipment
- Learn basic HVAC controls and select appropriate installation materials
- Assist other team members with job duties as necessary
- Coordinate installation activities with other trades to optimize installation time
- Supervise and lead others as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and best practices
- Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 4+ years related experience and/or training
- Valid driver's license
- Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook proficiency

Work Environment:This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms, and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The associate is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), and vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
