Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Coordinator to join our team at the University of Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity to work with economically disadvantaged youth and contribute to the success of the Talent Search project.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate recruitment, selection, and orientation of project participants, outreach activities, and participant services.
- Assess and prescribe participant services and plan activities in community agencies and target schools.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of assessment and placement, including a database, academic records, contacts, exit information, and evaluations.
- Arrange academic support services, provide individual, group, and career counseling sessions to meet participant needs, and perform other counseling duties and support services.
- Technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate.
- Experience working with economically disadvantaged youth and a strong commitment to the goals of the Talent Search project.
- Practical knowledge of students who are first-generation students and low-income students.
- Excellent written, oral, and/or visual communication skills.
- Flexibility to work during peak program/summer hours, including some nights and weekends.
