Position Summary
The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Bridge Project Manager will possess extensive experience in the construction of bridges and concrete structures, particularly within the realm of heavy highway infrastructure. We seek an individual who is not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the industry and ready to embrace responsibility.

Key Qualifications
  1. At least 10 years of overall experience in heavy highway construction, with a minimum of 3-5 years in project management specifically related to infrastructure development, focusing on structures such as vehicular bridges (both concrete and steel girder), retaining walls, box culverts, MSE walls, sound walls, permanently anchored walls, pedestrian bridges, and temporary shoring.
  2. Experience with GDOT projects is advantageous.

Project Planning and Scheduling
  1. Comprehensive review and understanding of all project plans and specifications.
  2. Preparation and submission of RFIs and Change Orders for any missing details or new scopes of work.
  3. Development and maintenance of project master schedules based on estimated manhours and production.
  4. Advance planning for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring resource availability 4-6 weeks ahead.
  5. Regular communication with superintendents and leadership to adjust project schedules and budgets as necessary.

Budgeting and Cost Control
  1. Proficient in estimating costs for heavy civil work.
  2. Thorough understanding and monitoring of project budgets.
  3. Regularly reviews job costs and completes revised cost projections monthly.
  4. Identifies potential budgetary pitfalls and ensures projects remain within financial constraints.
