Position Overview:
The Boeing Future of Flight is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation team. This role focuses on the development and implementation of production methodologies within the Flight Test domain.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

  • Engage in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to harmonize technical solutions across various disciplines.
  • Design and document manufacturing processes and tools tailored for Flight Test programs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing plans, including Bills of Materials and work instructions.
  • Formulate manufacturing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct build analyses and prepare cost estimation reports.
  • Oversee the integration of complex suppliers and processes to fulfill manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Lead assessments of design concepts to ensure producibility.
  • Manage program work statements to ensure adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers and fabrication teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Draft and review operational processes to meet business needs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Management to define Flight Test integration requirements.
  • Develop training materials for the Design Build Manufacturing Engineering team.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project leadership or team management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in laboratory testing, flight testing, or related environments.
  • Background in supporting both commercial and military clients.
  • Familiarity with Boeing's Manufacturing Engineering practices in Flight Test.
  • Knowledge of processes across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, and GOLDesp.
