Child Assessment and Parent Interviewer

We are seeking a highly skilled bilingual assessor to join our team in collecting data for the ECLS-K:2024 study. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-person child assessments at schools or participant homes, and engaging with parents through telephone or in-person interviews. Your strong language skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently make you an ideal candidate for this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person child assessments in both English and Spanish
- Engage with parents through telephone or in-person interviews
- Collect and record data on children's learning and development
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Be 18 years old or older (or emancipated minor) with the ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (or alternative transportation arrangements)
- Possess basic computer skills, including internet access, keyboard operation, and email communication
- Demonstrate strong language skills in both English and Spanish
- Meet physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 20 pounds and walking several blocks
Work Environment
This part-time, variable hour position requires occasional travel to schools or participant homes, and may involve working long hours, evenings, and weekends. You will need to have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license to perform job duties. We offer a competitive salary, eligibility for overtime pay, and participation in our 401(k) program.
