Job Description: Child, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Head Start Teacher to join our team in Cedar Bend. As a Head Start Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting the social, emotional, intellectual, language, and physical development of young children in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing educational environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of research-based, developmentally appropriate practices that celebrate diversity and promote equity. You will work closely with families to set and achieve long- and short-term goals that support each child's readiness for school success. This is a 10-month position (August-June) with opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Leadership: Create an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for every child.
  • Child Development: Foster positive interactions and relationships with children to encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
  • Family Engagement: Collaborate with parents to set individual developmental goals for their child and support school readiness.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with young children and their families.
  • Ability to become certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to pass all criminal history background checks.

Salary and Benefits:
  • A competitive salary range of $22.96 - $27.30 per hour, based on experience and education.
