Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for positioning patients, selecting technical factors, and operating equipment to obtain high-quality scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select technical factors to obtain optimal quality scans
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment as needed to perform procedures throughout the hospital
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies
  • Secure patient history to provide radiologists with adequate information for film interpretation
  • Maintain positive guest relations with patients, fellow employees, and other personnel
Requirements
  • ARDMS Registry with 2-3 years of experience in ultrasound in a hospital setting
  • High degree of technical knowledge to perform specialized U/S studies with minimal assistance from radiologists
  • Able to make diagnostic judgments and present them to radiologists for interpretation
  • CPR certification
Working Conditions
  • Ability to take call on a rotational basis
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours and work odd hours as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods and view small CRT screens during exams
  • Exposure to radiation and ability to operate portable equipment
