Job Summary

Albuquerque Public Schools is seeking a reliable and punctual Transportation Services Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school.

Essential Functions
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. You must be able to arrive on time and maintain a regular attendance record.
  • Customer Service: You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to students, parents, and school district personnel. This includes building and maintaining good customer relations, responding courteously to client complaints, and exercising tact and diplomacy in dealing with students and parents.
  • Physical Demands: You must be able to meet the physical and medical requirements of the job, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, securing wheelchairs, and preventing student behavior problems.
  • Training and Safety: You must satisfactorily complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings as required.
  • Knowledge and Experience: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of school district bus transportation policies and procedures, and First Aid/CPR certification where required by State/District/Regulations.
