We are seeking a reliable and punctual Bus Attendant to join our team at Albuquerque Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential for this position.
- Knowledge and possession of First Aid/CPR certification where required by State/District/Regulations.
- Knowledge of School District bus transportation policies and procedures.
- Meet physical and medical requirements, including a criminal background search and ability to meet U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Regulations.
- Complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings as required.
- Provide excellent customer service, including building and maintaining good customer relations and responding courteously to client complaints.
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with students, parents, and school district personnel.
- High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in securing wheelchairs, applying personal restraint, and preventing student behavior problems.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Practice safe work habits in the prevention of industrial accidents.
- Ability to maintain effective pupil behavior management over groups of children.
- High school diploma or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
