If you are a Materials Technician with a background in welding and related operations seeking a chance to advance your career, Copeland has an intriguing opportunity for you. In this role, you will conduct both destructive and nondestructive evaluations on a range of components to assist various functions within the organization. Utilizing specialized tools and methodologies, you will analyze components and relay findings to our design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Evaluating welds to ensure compliance with specified standards for procedure and performance qualifications. Executing nondestructive and destructive assessments of moderate complexity, including visual inspections, microscopic evaluations, hardness tests, tensile tests, x-ray fluorescence, digital radiography, and computed tomography. Analyzing and testing electronic components, welds, metals, and plastics. Interpreting engineering drawings, industry standards, and internal specifications. Collaborating with team members to select suitable tests and methodologies. Documenting test outcomes and conveying interpretations to relevant stakeholders. Engaging in continuous learning and applying new analysis and testing techniques. Assisting colleagues in failure analysis, product testing, and metrology tasks. Upholding a clean and safe working environment. Ideal Candidate Profile:

Required Qualifications: Relevant technical education or equivalent experience. A minimum of zero years of related experience. Basic knowledge of welding, metallurgy, and material properties. Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Current American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. Familiarity with various materials and mechanical testing techniques, including metallographic sample preparation and microscopy. Current ASNT-NDT certifications.
