Position Overview:

The Customer Service Lead is tasked with upholding exceptional standards of service within the front-end operations of the store. This role involves overseeing and directing all front-end activities in the absence of the Customer Service Manager, ensuring that the operations align with the store's financial objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process all forms of transactions, including cash, checks, debit/credit cards, and other payment methods, adhering to established policies.
  • Ensure prompt and orderly handling of return-to-stock items, prioritizing perishable goods.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of product locations and promotional items within the store.
  • Train team members on all departmental activities and functions.
  • Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of staff to achieve departmental productivity goals.
  • Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
  • Adhere to all safety and food handling guidelines.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents effectively.
  • Experience in budget management and delegation of tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of products and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and may frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn.

Work is typically performed in a retail environment with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level is generally low to moderate.
