Job Opportunity: Maintenance Supervisor I

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our 195-unit community, Celeste. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the property management industry.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating employee activities and outside contractors engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and maintaining grounds. Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing employees and outside contractors in apartment renovations, service requests, structural repairs, and ground maintenance.
  • Obtaining bids for work from outside contractors, assembling, analyzing, and submitting bids to superiors for action.
  • Ordering and receiving supplies, appliances, and equipment from vendors.
  • Coordinating work performed by outside vendors and inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
  • Inspecting facilities and equipment to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, and type.
  • Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggesting changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Assisting the Property Manager in planning and administering the maintenance budget.
  • Participating in after-hours and emergency coverage as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of related experience in property management as a Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Experience in all trades.
  • Excellent written, communication, and computer skills.
  • Past supervisory experience.
  • A current driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Able to work weekends and overtime as job requires.
