Position Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the physical operations of the property. This role encompasses the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and essential systems including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, security, and electrical.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and prioritize the maintenance team's workload to ensure timely completion of preventative and routine maintenance tasks.
- Maintain and update essential files and documentation related to property maintenance.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of external vendors as necessary.
- Oversee a small team of Maintenance and Janitorial staff, ensuring efficient operations.
- Conduct annual inspections of units to assess maintenance needs.
- Ensure the swift turnover of units within a 5-day timeframe.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in apartment maintenance.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge in plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance practices.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record and reliable transportation.
- HVAC certification is a plus.
