About the Role

The Director of Enterprise Architecture is a key position at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, responsible for leading and maturing the Enterprise Architecture capability. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Enterprise Architecture Framework - Develops and maintains a comprehensive enterprise architecture framework, standards, governance principles, and provides strategic guidance on technology acquisition and lifecycle management.
  • Lead and Manage Architects - Leads managers, architects, and IT professionals through guidance, coaching, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders - Collaborates and provides strategic guidance to key stakeholders, department heads, and senior management on enterprise architecture and technology-related matters.
  • Facilitate Enterprise Architecture Strategy - Facilitates the creation and informs the enterprise architecture strategy with actionable roadmaps, to include emerging technologies, trends, and various architectural perspectives.

Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
  • Experience - 12+ years of diversified IT experience required.
  • Leadership Experience - 5+ years managing first level leaders and high-level professional staff required.
  • Enterprise Architecture Experience - 6+ years of experience in technical IT architect capacity preferred.
  • Leadership of Enterprise Architecture Function - 3+ years of experience leading and managing an Enterprise Architecture function preferred.
  • Certifications - ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, SAFe, PMI, Organization Change Management, and Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred.
  • Cloud Technologies and Emerging Technologies - Experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure solutions preferred.
  • Enterprise Architecture Tools and Graphical Modeling Approaches - Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture tools and graphical modeling approaches preferred.
  • Business Models, Operating Models, Financial Models, and Risk Management - Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, and risk management preferred.
  • Oil and Gas Industry Standards and Regulations - Knowledge of Oil and Gas industry standards and regulations preferred.
