Job Overview

Egan Company is on the lookout for skilled professionals to fill the role of Project Manager within our curtainwall and metal panel construction division (InterClad). This position, based in Champlin, MN, is pivotal in overseeing project management and providing leadership for multiple construction initiatives, or segments of larger projects, concurrently. The individual in this role will be accountable for the financial performance of the projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage small to mid-sized construction projects.
  • Take on primary leadership duties for each assigned project in collaboration with the project superintendent.
  • Utilize Egan's project management systems and methodologies, including Milestone Based Delivery (MBD).
  • Oversee all project phases by conducting thorough pre-planning meetings, optimizing resources during the procurement process, and supporting field operations for efficient work execution.
  • Lead a team through project implementation, ensuring respect from field personnel and managing diverse stakeholder expectations.
  • Assess the contractual scope of work and coordinate staffing for key project roles with regional department heads and general superintendents.
  • Establish and maintain communication with primary clients and other stakeholders to synchronize scheduling and ensure successful project execution.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts as necessary.
  • Monitor and control project progress through administrative oversight of the on-site project superintendent.
  • Develop, distribute, and update the master project schedule and variance reports to ensure adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Manage all financial aspects of contracts, including costs, billing, and collections, to achieve profitability targets and maintain positive cash flow while fostering strong client relationships.
  • Oversee project close-out and cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service and project updates.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a two-year Associate degree or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent technical training and relevant construction experience).
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in construction/project management, specifically in curtainwall and/or metal panel projects.
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key functional areas such as business development, preconstruction, project planning, scheduling, cost reporting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders diplomatically.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing priorities and methods; readiness to embrace new challenges.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite, with a willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Must obtain OSHA-30 certification within six months of hire (if not already certified).
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and client locations as required.
