Job Overview

Egan Company is on the lookout for skilled professionals to fill the role of Project Manager within our curtainwall and metal panel construction division (InterClad). This position, based in Champlin, MN, entails comprehensive project oversight and leadership for multiple construction initiatives or segments of larger projects. The Project Manager is accountable for the financial performance of assigned projects and is integral to managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and completion, particularly for complex curtainwall and metal panel installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage small to mid-sized construction projects.
  • Lead each assigned project in collaboration with the designated project superintendent.
  • Utilize Egan's project management systems and methodologies, including Milestone Based Delivery (MBD).
  • Oversee all project aspects by conducting pre-planning meetings, optimizing resources during the procurement process, and supporting field operations for efficient execution.
  • Guide a team through project implementation, fostering respect among field personnel and balancing diverse stakeholder expectations.
  • Assess the contractual scope of work and organize key project roles in coordination with regional department heads and superintendents.
  • Establish and maintain communication with primary clients and other stakeholders to synchronize scheduling and ensure successful project execution.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontract agreements.
  • Monitor and control project progress through administrative oversight of on-site project superintendents.
  • Develop, distribute, and update the master project schedule and variance reports to guarantee timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Manage financial elements of contracts, including costs, billing, and collections, to achieve profitability objectives while nurturing positive client relationships.
  • Oversee project close-out processes and cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding service and project updates.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent technical training and relevant construction experience).
  • Three to five years of experience in construction/project management, specifically in curtainwall and/or metal panel sectors.
  • Proven track record in customer service and relationship building.
  • Strong understanding of key functional areas such as business development, preconstruction, project planning, scheduling, cost reporting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders diplomatically.
  • Exceptional organizational and negotiation abilities.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and readiness to embrace new challenges.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite, with a willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Must obtain OSHA-30 certification within six months of hire (if not already certified).
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and client locations as necessary.
