At Granite City Electric Supply, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our team in Quincy, MA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the store, ensuring high levels of customer service satisfaction, and creating a competitive advantage for the branch.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing and developing accounts in the area to maximize sales
  • Training, supervising, and coaching employees in products, procedures, and selling skills
  • Delegating and assigning duties as necessary for the smooth and efficient running of the facility
  • Responsible for inventory control
  • Keeping employees informed and up to date about the Company, product, and code changes
  • Providing customer quotations and product information as requested
  • Promoting teamwork and interdepartmental cooperation
  • Analyzing situations, identifying problems, evaluating alternative courses of action
  • Demonstrating emphasis on improving quality of staff and systems
  • Giving and receiving feedback and evaluation as an improvement tool
  • Sets measurable goals and evaluates achievement of those goals
  • P & L responsibility

Requirements for the position include:

  • A minimum of three years in a sales/supervisory capacity, preferably at an electrical distributor
  • Business, construction, and/or electrical industry exposure
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs and conditions
  • Possess and demonstrate effective leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion to continually improve processes and relationships
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and the ability to use an ERP
