Description:


ASV Holdings, Inc. designs, manufactures and supports a complete range of compact equipment including compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders and construction equipment for use in such markets as construction, landscaping, utility, land management and agriculture. The products are sold primarily through a third party, independent dealer network.


Overview:


ASV Holdings is seeking a highly organized, goal-oriented strategic Commodity Procurement Manager to join our growing organization. The Commodity Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the strategic sourcing aspect of one of seven given commodities. The role is responsible for overseeing and developing a commodity strategy to support long-term growth and negotiate long-term agreements with the supply base. They serve as the primary interface between ASV Holdings and suppliers. The commodity groups at ASV Holdings include: Hydraulic/Pneumatic components, castings, heavy fabrications, electronics/electrical, tracks/running gear, cabs/accessories/ROPS, and engines/power plant.


This Commodity Procurement Manager position will be responsible for designating suppliers as either strategic or non-strategic and responsible for defining, prioritizing, and coordinating assistance to strategic suppliers, as needed, in support of category-focused goals and objectives. This position will report to the Strategic Sourcing Manager.


Responsibilities:


•Compilation and preparation of supplier portfolios


•Identify synergies of common parts across ASV Holdings Global Compact Equipment Divisions when supplier selection decision is being made.


•Observation of commodity markets and recognition of market movements. Recognize and evaluate trends.


•Systematic collection and processing of information on external conditions with regard to market developments /dynamics


•Reviewing department-specific requirements, obtaining and then processing and comparing the offers received


•Conducting negotiations regarding delivery times, quantities, prices, safety stock, etc. according to targets with suppliers


•Recording and showing of negotiation results and savings within the commodity group to be managed


•Preparation of monthly PPV and MPV and special evaluations within the commodity group


•Execution of the supplier management


•Creation and maintenance of purchasing-specific master data


•Support critical shortages as they are escalated to maintain production build schedule


•Travel may be required (domestic and international)


•Represent ASV Holdings in a highly professional manner internally and externally


Requirements:


Qualifications:


Education and/or Experience:


•BS/BA degree from four year college or university and strategic sourcing experience in the procurement field preferred.


•At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of purchasing heavy equipment or comparable products.


•Confident handling of MS Office and ERP systems (Epricor/Oracle preferred).


•Engineering systems use and functionality- Creo and Windchill preferred.

•Experienced in developing procurement markets and in different manufacturing processes

•Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.


•Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities at the same time.


•Self-starter; able to work with and/or lead cross-functional teams.


•Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.


•Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the organization.


•Timely completion of assigned work


Salary:


$85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
