Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and patient assessment, to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, or equivalent) required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and postural changes, as well as occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, with a strong focus on maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
