Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and patient assessment, to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, or equivalent) a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical office policies, practices, and procedures, with a strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality protocols.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks with minimal fatigue.
