Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN department at MidMichigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons
  • Support and direct patients for consults and/or testing and insurance pre-certification and documentation
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and assessing and recording objective and subjective data
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program through an accredited organization preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office policies, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
  • Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with regular and predictable attendance.
