Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mid Michigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and patient assessments, to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Provide complete patient assessments, perform patient care measures, and maintain accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Knowledge of medical office policies, practices, and procedures, with experience in a physician clinic setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds, with occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious materials.
