Job Summary
The Product Sales Support Admin will support division sales by addressing and resolving Territory Manager (TM), District Sales Manager (DSM), Chain Account Manager, Healthcare Manager, and Major Account Manager questions and requests in a timely manner. This role requires a detailed knowledge of US Foods products, systems, and tools.
This position is responsible for being the central point of contact for Area hub and market DCs for all internal sales inquiries related to product, specifications, availability, scheduling, and substitutions. The ideal candidate will be able to resolve external customer and internal sales questions quickly and efficiently, using their knowledge of US Foods systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for Area hub and market DCs for all internal sales inquiries.
- Resolve external customer and internal sales questions in a timely manner.
- Become subject matter expert in US Foods systems and tools to answer inquiries.
- Execute sample policy to obtain samples for customers and/or Territory Managers.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge and resources to answer questions regarding product availability, delivery schedule, broker contact, and line information.
- Prioritize requests based on urgency and customer status.
- Develop broker and vendor contacts along with using internal resource pool to address and follow up on sales inquiries.
- Develop product category knowledge to suggest substitute products when necessary.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent distribution or food service supply chain experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing, merchandising, sales, or customer service experience required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be extremely organized, analytical, and possess highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Must be external and internal customer service focused.
- Ability to research, escalate, and follow up on inquiries with a great sense of urgency.
- Ability to overcome objections and obstacles with a solution-based attitude.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and education. Benefits may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
