Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Steward Machine Co., Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy manufacturing, machining, or fabrication, and a proven track record of success in sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential leads.
  • Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
  • Ensure follow-up by following up on leads and passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, profile information, sources, etc.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
  • Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and emails.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate CRM platform.
  • Work with the Estimating Department on complying with customers' needs and requirements.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly work area.
  • Adhere to safety rules and report equipment malfunctions to proper authority.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of direct work experience in a sales role.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of different fabrication/machining processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently with programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, challenging environment as an integral part of the sales team.

Preferred Requirements
  • Prior experience in sales supporting a heavy manufacturing, machining, or fabrication organization.
  • Prior experience using Salesforce CRM.
