About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Technical Representative to join our team at Benesch. As a key member of our infrastructure project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects across a range of disciplines, including road, water main, and sewer construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections and documentation of infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with project procedures and specifications.
  • Manage client relationships and provide technical assistance to project supervisors and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the construction group, including the development of new business opportunities and the improvement of project delivery processes.
  • Perform construction engineering and inspection services on new and rehabilitation bridge projects, including the review and approval of construction plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate project administration, including inspection, quality control testing, and reporting.
  • Perform measurement, computation, and documentation of quantities, including the preparation of Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documentation.
  • Report to the project supervisor on the progress of work, including technical issues, the status of work remaining to be done, and any noted deficiencies.
  • Comply with all project and company safety guidelines, including the implementation of traffic control and safety devices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AAS in Civil Technology, Surveying, Construction Management, or related curriculum in the technical area of concentration preferred.
  • Current KDOT certifications or ability to obtain a plus.
  • KDOT construction experience is a plus and knowledge of KDOT manuals, procedures, forms, and specifications preferred.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of organizational skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, and work independently.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license held for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Safe motor vehicle record meeting company standards.
  • If under 21 years of age, a clean motor vehicle record without any moving violations or chargeable accidents.
