Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fruit Processing Manager to oversee the processing department and ensure efficient production, safety, and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fruit processing, mechanical aptitude, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement pre-harvest and post-harvest containment plans to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Manage daily and weekly processing schedules, including tank management and scheduling of rabbis for kosher single strength.
  • Supervise the processing specialist and provide training in grape processing, tank management, enzyme treatments, settling, filtering, and concentrating.
  • Review processing results daily and provide rationale and corrective actions for unfavorable variances.
  • Ensure sanitation program compliance and plant SQF requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of fruit processing management experience, with grape processing experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of production scheduling experience.
  • Solid record of safety and continuous improvement in an industrial setting.
