Job Summary: As a Quality Engineer at Electric Materials Co, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities within the manufacturing environment. This role involves implementing quality control procedures, providing technical support for tests and inspections, identifying production, process, or product issues, and recommending corrective actions to ensure high-quality standards are met and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and other practices for manufacturing processes.
  2. Provide technical support on inspections and quality tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  3. Analyze and interpret statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality objectives.
  4. Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions in collaboration with production, engineering, and other teams.
  5. Monitor compliance with quality standards and procedures, including ISO, nuclear, and other standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Document and report quality assurance activities, test results, and process nonconformances through the DMR and RMA systems.
  7. Train and support production personnel in quality control procedures and best practices.
  8. Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  9. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.
  10. Oversee gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
  11. Stay updated on industry standards and developments in quality assurance techniques.
  12. Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of metrology and GD&T.
  • Experience with quality assurance techniques and tools (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, APQP, and etc.).
  • Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
