The Executive Inn & Suites is seeking a dedicated Front Office Operations Supervisor to manage our guest services effectively. This role encompasses overseeing the operations of our front desk across two distinct properties, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner.
- Adhere to scheduled work hours and maintain punctuality.
- Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance.
- Achieve and maintain front office performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct coaching and performance evaluations for team members.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and incidents promptly and courteously.
- Support the development of employee morale and ensure comprehensive training for front desk staff.
- Optimize room revenue and occupancy through daily status reviews and rate management.
- Assist in supervising night audit functions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Maintain effective communication with management and other departments.
- Manage cash handling processes at the front desk accurately.
- Oversee the delivery and logging of packages and mail.
- Stay informed about current rates, packages, and promotions.
- Monitor and manage special requests for VIP guests.
- Complete required checklists and provide guidance to front office staff.
- Assist in implementing emergency procedures as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is essential.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems; familiarity with Opera and Reserve is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle workplace challenges.
- Competence in financial data management and basic arithmetic.
