The National Video Media Associate will be responsible for negotiating, acquiring, and managing National Video media investments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, train, and guide Assistant Negotiators.
- Support media trainees within the department.
- Negotiate and secure National Video scatter/upfront media opportunities.
- Stay informed about market trends through industry meetings and publications.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with relevant target demographics.
- Manage media schedules in accordance with each client's purchasing guidelines.
- Oversee timelines and execution of added value initiatives.
- Confirm purchases, schedules, budgets, and reconcile network billing.
- Evaluate the performance of media buys using current ratings; secure makegoods for under-delivery.
- Contribute to post-analysis reports.
- Adhere to deadlines for buys, analyses, and assigned projects; assist the team in establishing project timelines.
- Maintain regular communication with sales teams to negotiate and uphold the integrity of media buys.
- Inform supervisors about market conditions, unique opportunities, and potential scheduling disruptions.
- Assist in developing cost per points, competitive assessments, and group initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Preferred experience in an agency setting.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a national media investment buying environment.
- Experience in negotiating TV dayparts and online video.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Media Ocean software (DDS, MBOX) is a plus.
