Position Summary:
We invite you to join our team as a Supplier Quality Engineer, where your primary focus will be on ensuring the integrity and dependability of our supply chain. This position integrates supplier quality oversight with key elements of material management, particularly concerning raw materials and outsourced processes. You will be responsible for managing the supplier quality program within our electronic Quality Management System (eQMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining traceability in accordance with ISO 9001 and client specifications. Furthermore, you will assist in the implementation of the supplier management module in our new eQMS and oversee raw material traceability within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Additionally, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for supplier management during customer and ISO audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Oversight: Manage the supplier quality program within our eQMS, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 and client specifications.
- Supplier Evaluation: Establish criteria for assessing and qualifying suppliers, including conducting site evaluations.
- Material Traceability: Guarantee traceability of raw materials from the source to the final product and manage these materials within our ERP system.
- Documentation Management: Oversee the handling of Material Test Reports (MTRs), data sheets, Certificates of Compliance (CoCs), Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Raw Material Management: Identify and manage requirements for raw material segregation.
- Incoming Quality Control: Collaborate on processes for incoming inspections and quality verification.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Assist in the integration of SPC software and data analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations concerning PFAS.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct audits, and provide constructive feedback.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead investigations into non-conforming materials and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to align processes and strategies effectively.
- Reporting: Generate reports on supplier quality performance and audit outcomes.
- Audit Participation: Serve as the SME for supplier management during audit processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in supply chain quality management, ideally within the semiconductor sector.
- Hands-on familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management frameworks.
- Experience with electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and traceability standards.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Preferred certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-technology manufacturing environments.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking may be required.
- Work in controlled environments and manufacturing settings.
- Prolonged hours of computer use.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for supplier audits and escalations.
