Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our Radiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our radiology services, ensuring that we provide high-quality patient care and meet our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement schedules and staffing within designated regions to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Monitor performance and forecast service needs to inform personnel management, capital equipment justification, and departmental P&L management.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and laws, as well as applicable radiation and health department rules.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with management and technologists to ensure quality studies under the direction of the radiologist.
  • Conduct staff evaluations and make recommendations for employee development and growth.
  • Assess employee needs and make recommendations to management on behalf of employees.
  • Responsible for image quality reviews, ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining inventory of equipment.
  • Orient new employees to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist technologists in solving technical problems and identify and correct problem behaviors through coaching and counseling.
  • Review technologist payroll to ensure productivity and resource control.
  • Regularly communicate with dispatch to maintain consistent patient care and turnaround times.
  • Plan and implement strategies and activities consistent with overall company aims and requirements.
  • Perform X-rays/Ultrasounds as needed to maintain and improve service levels.
  • Fleet management, scheduling of vehicles/equipment for proper maintenance.
  • Monitor and retain dosimetry reports in Radiology.
  • Continuously monitor, develop, and oversee all technologist clinical credentialing, training, and quality of service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Radiology Services.
Requirements
  • Must have at least two (2) years' experience in the mobile field.
  • Must have at least two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must have and maintain valid State Rad Tech/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certification.
  • Must have and maintain valid Driver's License.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% within service area.

The Radiologic Technologists may push/pull anywhere from lbs. With the use of vehicle ramps and pulleys, this weight decreases. When the tech is pushing/pulling the equipment in a facility or home; however, the weight can increase. 50 lbs of force (or more) can occur 16 to 24 times a day.
