IT Infrastructure Executive Director

ADMIN FOR CHILDREN'S SVCS is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Executive Director to lead our team in providing high-quality, reliable, and sustainable technology services. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects and resources within the Infrastructure Team, including Server, Network, and IT Operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of IT resources and the internal customer experience by utilizing the newest technologies and planning for expansion of existing capabilities.
- Provide Agency communications for any severe incidents, and/or responses.
- Lead with a continuous improvement mindset that consistently identifies and implements operational changes to elevate the effectiveness and scale of the Infrastructure Team.
- Manage Enterprise-scale networks, supporting multiple services and heterogeneous production systems operation environments.
- Ensure we have the right SLAs, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Plans in place within the enterprise while adhering to Citywide policies.
- A master's degree in computer science from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience in Information Technology (IT) including applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, database administration, data processing, or user services.
- At least eighteen (18) months of this experience must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity in the areas of applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, database administration, data processing or in the supervision of staff performing these duties.
- Minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible technical management and leadership experience.
- Strong written, verbal, and communication skills are required as the position will be responsible for creating and presenting detailed technical presentations, proposals, scenarios, and risk evaluations for management review and approval.
ADMIN FOR CHILDREN'S SVCS protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community.
ACS' Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for providing high-quality, reliable, and sustainable technology services as well as IT support to meet the needs of the families and children we serve through ACS, its vendor partners, and other City agencies. Within OIT, the Infrastructure and Support Unit provides, manages, and supports the Agency's technology infrastructure, software, and services.
