Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner Team Manager to join our Neurocritical Care team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of advanced practice providers, providing high-quality patient care, and contributing to the development and implementation of clinical practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of advanced practice providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants, to provide high-quality patient care and achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines and protocols to ensure consistency and excellence in patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide education and training to team members on clinical topics and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree required.
  • Current Adult/Geriatric or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification by an accredited APRN certifying body required.
  • Valid prescriptive authority from both MA DPH and Federal DEA required.
  • Current APRN License to practice in Massachusetts required.
  • Minimum 4 years recent clinical Nurse Practitioner experience in a Neurocritical care unit required.
  • Neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner Experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare management preferred.
