Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital's Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our primary care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and medication management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address patients' unique needs and health goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Completion of a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
  • Valid prescriptive authority from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Current APRN license to practice in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting.
  • Experience managing acute and chronic disease states, as well as primary prevention.
  • Significant experience providing care to patients ages 0-22.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an interdisciplinary care-team model.
