We invite you to join our team at The MH Group, LLC, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families in need of housing assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to identify housing needs and barriers, and research housing eligibility and opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with landlords to optimize housing quantity and quality.
  • Collaborate with housing case managers and system navigators to provide suitable housing options and necessary support.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly rehousing plans.
  • Support clients throughout the rehousing process, handling tasks such as application completion, scheduling showings, and keeping clients informed.
  • Assist clients in applying for and appealing reasonable accommodations, and guide budgeting, problem-solving, and options planning.
  • Proactively assess and resolve eviction actions, utility arrears, or other housing stability factors.
  • Educate clients about tenant and landlord rights, rental assistance programs, homebuyer readiness information, and available community resources.
  • Stay updated on new and modified housing assistance programs, services, and regulations to provide accurate client guidance.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate case notes in databases/systems, ensuring effective communication across internal departments.
  • Conduct regular unit walkthroughs to identify tenancy preservation concerns and address potential safety issues.
  • Collaborate with the housing case manager to track progress towards rehousing, submit incident and non-compliance reports, and ensure ADA accommodations are properly addressed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience in housing, social services, or a related role, or a combination of experience and a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are required.
  • Preference for experience in conducting housing searches.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary:

$17.25 per hour
