Job Title: Dietitian Specialist

Location: Houston, Texas

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

This is a full-time position at UTHealth Houston, one of the nation's most comprehensive academic health centers. As a Dietitian Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring patient nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nutrition screening, evaluation, and assessment for patients.
  • Counsel program participants on basic and/or high-risk nutritional needs.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to meet patient goals.
  • Develop educational materials and tools, and teach nutrition education classes.
  • Market and promote nutrition services through communication with area health professionals.
  • Chart and keep records to monitor patient progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition from an accredited or approved education program.
  • Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and state licensure regulations where applicable.
