Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team as an Outpatient Transplant Clinical Nutrition Specialist. In this role, you will assess the nutritional status of patients using recognized assessment tools, recommending and counseling them on personalized nutrition plans to improve their health and well-being. You will work closely with patients requiring advanced competency, such as pediatric and bariatric cases, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate care while demonstrating excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual patient needs, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient response to interventions by meeting specific measurable goals documented in the nutrition care plan.
  • Update the plan of care as necessary and follow up with patients as needed.
  • Perform business functions, such as managing resources in a cost-effective manner, and participate in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure safe and effective nutrition care.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance patient experience.

Requirements

  • Two years of acute hospital experience working with patients in complex care levels, including specialized populations (e.g., pediatric, bariatric, ICU).
  • Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
  • Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Dietitian State license in Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee, or Ohio.

Compensation
