Job Title: Power Electronics Controls Engineer

Life Cycle Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Controls Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and testing of cutting-edge Advanced Electrical Power Systems for the US Navy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot Advanced Electrical Power Systems for naval applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement power electronics and control systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for system installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and analysis using modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Prepare technical presentations and briefings for design reviews and technical review boards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Power Systems Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or similar field).
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in power systems, dynamics, and real-time control software.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, 3-phase power systems, generation systems, AC/DC drives, and controllers.
  • Experience working with controls and sensors.
  • Preferred experience with motor drives, medium voltage switchgear, protective relaying, cabling, and solid-state power conversion.
