Job Title: Power Electronics Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Controls Engineer to join our team at Life Cycle Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and testing of cutting-edge Advanced Electrical Power Systems for the next generation of US Navy ships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot electrical power systems and controls
  • Develop and implement advanced power electronic technologies and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Provide technical expertise and support for system installation and testing
  • Conduct risk assessments and analysis using modeling and simulation techniques
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Power Systems Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or similar field)
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in power systems and controls
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, dynamics, and real-time control software
  • Experience working with power distribution, 3-phase power systems, generation systems, AC/DC drives, and controllers
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
