Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and distributing specimens submitted for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood samples from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure accurate and precise labeling of specimens to prevent errors and misidentification.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
