Cancer Data Specialist

Job Summary:
Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Cancer Registrar II to join our team. As a Cancer Registrar II, you will be responsible for collecting and maintaining accurate data on reportable malignancies, including benign tumors. You will review patient medical records, stay up-to-date with industry changes, and use your knowledge of cancer disease processes to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and maintain accurate data on reportable malignancies
- Review patient medical records, including imaging, pathology, and treatment summaries
- Stay up-to-date with industry changes and regulatory requirements
- Use knowledge of cancer disease processes to make informed decisions
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a health-related field
- Completion of an accredited Cancer Registrar training program
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification
- 1 year of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and CNExT cancer data collection
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
