Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinician II to join our team at the City of Chesapeake. As a key member of our Emergency Services team, you will be responsible for providing daily oversight and supervision of our crisis intervention services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily oversight of Emergency Services, including triage of community referrals at Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) and main office locations.
  • Supervise and evaluate Emergency Services Clinicians to ensure high-quality care and services.
  • Participate in on-call-after-hours weekly rotation for case resolution and crisis intervention.
  • Deliver crisis assessment and intervention services using evidence-based, least restrictive methods.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of staff members to ensure a skilled and dedicated team.
  • Manage Safety Net Bed cases, re-commitment hearings, outpatient treatment, and community cases to ensure effective case management.
  • Oversee the 24-hour Emergency Services schedule to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct daily Quality Assurance audits and chart reviews to ensure compliance and quality of care.
  • Facilitate ES staff meetings and collaborate with law enforcement and referral sources to ensure effective partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Vocational/Educational Requirement: Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of four years of related experience.
  • Special Certifications and Licenses: State of Virginia licensure as LCP, LCSW, or LPC.
  • Special Requirements: Ability to work additional hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Emergency Services is preferred.
