Facilities Maintenance Manager

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee and orchestrate all repair and upkeep operations within the organization. This position entails supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and preserving the integrity of the facility's physical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance on outdoor areas, parking lots, driveways, etc., including mowing, trimming, sweeping, and general cleaning.
- This role also manages the Housekeeping & Laundry teams.
- Tasks will encompass HVAC, plumbing, plastering, electrical work, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
- Change light bulbs, clean windows, and assist colleagues in moving heavy equipment and supplies.
- Service heating and cooling systems.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities with nursing staff when performing routine tasks in resident living spaces.
- Ensure that the facility and its equipment are well-maintained for the comfort and convenience of residents.
- Foster an environment of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and tranquility.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in maintenance.
- Certification in facilities management is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance management capacity, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with maintenance protocols, procedures, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Experience in maintaining a facility such as a nursing home, apartment complex, or commercial building.
- Adept at minimizing waste of materials and preventing misuse of equipment.
