Kids Unlimited is seeking a dedicated Transportation and Facilities Coordinator

Compensation: $21.46 - $26.39 based on experience

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Transportation and Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for providing safe transportation services and fostering meaningful relationships with children. This role ensures that all necessary services are accessible for children every school day, including the upkeep of educational facilities. Adherence to Kids Unlimited policies and procedures is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

TRANSPORTATION DUTIES:
- Deliver transportation services to children as needed for before school, during school, and after school activities in line with established policies.
- Plan and execute fixed routes and field trips for child transport.
- Maintain accurate route documentation and communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager.
- Report any traffic delays affecting pick-up or arrival times promptly.
- Ensure the safety of children during loading, unloading, and transport to and from school or events.
- Account for all children on the bus and ensure no child is left unattended.
- Instruct children and parents on safety practices and ensure compliance with safety restraints while the bus is in motion.
- Conduct daily safety checks and maintenance of the bus, reporting any repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bus, including trash removal and washing as necessary.
- Provide accurate communication to parents as needed.

SCHOOL SUPPORT:
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure that services are available to enrolled children as directed by school administration.
- Offer backup support to the Facilities Department and assist with additional school-related tasks as assigned.

COMMUNICATION:
- Engage in regular communication and debriefing sessions with school staff.
- Attend relevant meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist with bilingual communication needs when necessary and report transportation issues to the Facilities Manager.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks both inside and outside of the facilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Uphold a safe and welcoming work environment by adhering to safety regulations and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Other related duties may be assigned as appropriate, reflecting the general responsibilities of this position. This description is intended to provide a general overview of the role and is not exhaustive of all duties that may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Valid CDL with necessary endorsements, CPR/First Aid Certification, and Food Handler Certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with basic computer proficiency. Ability to support the developmental needs of children and promote their social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Bilingual support staff must facilitate effective communication between teachers, families, and the public as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull various weights as necessary; sufficient mobility to perform job duties effectively; and the capability to react quickly to the actions of children.
