Senior Vice President of Claims

Your Role in Driving Impact
The Vice President of Claims Technical Leadership is tasked with offering subject matter expertise and spearheading all facets of claims technical excellence for Private Not for Profit Management Liability lines of business. This position will directly manage high-severity claims while also serving as a pivotal leader within the management liability claims team. Responsibilities include:
- Proactively manage high-severity Directors and Officers (D&O) claims, along with some overlapping Employment Practices Liability (EPL) and fiduciary claims primarily involving Public Companies.
- Deliver training and technical support to claims professionals.
- Ensure adherence to Best Practices and departmental policies and procedures.
- Stay informed on litigation trends and regulatory updates affecting professional liability.
- Present complex matters and trends to senior management regarding high-severity claims.
- Analyze claims trends and statistics to aid the business in managing risks and exposures proactively.
- Collaborate closely with Underwriting teams in risk analysis and account discussions.
- Over 10 years of experience in insurance claims.
- Extensive experience in managing complex, high-severity management liability claims is essential.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Robust analytical skills.
- Capability to provide technical support to a claims team in a fast-paced environment while managing a complex caseload.
- A successful candidate will be a collaborative team player who can identify trends and risks to assist management and underwriting in evaluating accounts and developing policy language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
