Overview
As a pivotal member of our Claims division, the Vice President of Management Liability Claims will lead the charge in delivering exceptional claims handling services. Our Claims teams are recognized for their problem-solving capabilities, ensuring technical excellence and service differentiation that culminates in a superior global claims experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Vice President will serve as a technical authority, overseeing all facets of claims excellence within the Private Not for Profit Management Liability sector. This role entails direct engagement with high-severity claims while also guiding the management liability claims team. The VP will collaborate closely with the Technical Head to report on claims and industry developments to internal stakeholders and facilitate training initiatives within the claims team.
- Manage high-stakes Directors and Officers (D&O) claims, alongside Employment Practices Liability (EPL) and fiduciary claims primarily involving Public Companies.
- Deliver training and expert support to claims professionals.
- Ensure adherence to Best Practices and departmental protocols.
- Stay informed on litigation trends and regulatory changes impacting professional liability.
- Present findings to senior management regarding high-severity or complex claims and emerging trends.
- Analyze claims data and trends to aid in proactive risk management.
- Collaborate with Underwriting teams during risk assessments and account discussions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance claims.
- Extensive background in managing complex, high-severity management liability claims is essential.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Robust analytical skills.
- Capability to provide technical guidance in a fast-paced environment while managing a portfolio of intricate claims.
- A successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, adept at identifying trends and risks to support management and underwriting in account evaluations and policy development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
