This role is designed for a Resource Program Manager at a national preserve, focusing on the stewardship of both natural and cultural assets. The incumbent will provide expert guidance to park leadership regarding the management of diverse resources, engaging in extensive studies, inventories, and planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource Program Oversight: Directs the planning and execution of programs related to the park's natural and cultural resources. Evaluates program effectiveness and recommends necessary adjustments. Develops comprehensive work plans, scopes of work, and funding proposals to achieve established objectives.
  • Compliance Coordination: Manages compliance with environmental and historic preservation regulations. Advises park management on relevant federal and state laws, ensuring adherence to all applicable policies.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivates and maintains productive relationships with various stakeholders, including public, private, and non-profit organizations. Collaborates with partners to enhance resource management efforts and negotiate agreements related to stewardship.
  • Scientific Oversight: Ensures that scientific initiatives within the park adhere to established integrity standards. Develops and implements scientific protocols to support resource management decisions and disseminates findings to enhance public understanding.
  • Data Management: Utilizes GIS technology and other data analysis tools to support resource inquiries and management. Maintains various databases related to research permits and project proposals.
